"Celestial Spark - The Milky Way Over Mont Blanc, Chamonix"

After carefully calculating the time and direction of the Milky Way’s rise, followed by a long hike through the high mountains, I scouted this frame by daylight. In the middle of the night, I awoke to the chill, leaving the warmth of my sleeping bag to capture this rare sight. Standing there, in the silence of the high Alps, the Milky Way stretched above Mont Blanc and the iconic peaks of Chamonix—the town nestled at the foot of the highest peak in the Alps and all of Western Europe.

Mont Blanc, towering and mighty by day, suddenly felt small under the vastness of the galaxy. This photograph is a reminder of the scale and proportions of life—how even the grandest mountains are humbled in the presence of the universe. The experience of capturing this shot was one of satisfaction, a feeling of accomplishment amidst the cold and the dark, and a deep reminder of our place in the cosmos.
